WILLIAM HUTCHESON is a Toronto-based FAMILY LAWYER. Will is experienced in dealing with all matters and issues that arise in the family context, including divorce, custody, access, spousal support, child support, equalization of property, child protection matters, marriage contracts and separation agreements.

Will really likes his job. He especially likes it when he is able to work with his clients towards a speedy, cost-effective resolution, often through mediation or arbitration. When that fails, he is willing, able and prepared to vigorously represent his clients’ interests in court.

He likes that too.

Will Hutcheson holds a B.A. and M.A. in philosophy from Queen’s University and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall and was called to the bar in 2008. Will is the 2006 winner of the Wilson Moot, the 2007 winner of the Gale Cup (the national mooting championships) and represented Canada in the 2007 Commonwealth Moot Championships held in Nairobi Kenya. Will represented Queen’s University in the 2002 World Debating Championships, placing 20th out of more than 300 teams from 90 universities.

Will completed his articles in criminal defence law at the firm of Greenspan Humphrey Lavine and has practiced as a family lawyer since 2008. Prior to starting his own firm, Will was an associate family lawyer at Martha McCarthy & Company.

Will represents clients at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. Will also does simple wills and powers of attorney.
